High School Spring Formal
Friday, May 17th, 2019
Attention Parents: please share this email with your high school students and have a discussion with them about attending our SMS High School Spring Formal!
We want to provide our high school students with a much-deserved end of the year prom/formal dance experience.
We have an amazing team of parent volunteers who have formed a special committee to make this happen. They have been working hard to make this a really special event for them and now we need the kids involved to make the memories!
We have been sharing details about this dance for several weeks now, but many students seem unaware that we have a formal dance coming up in just two weeks!
So please, take some time to read through the details and encourage your sons and daughters to buy their tickets this week.
Students in Grades 9 thru 12: You are Invited to Come Dance the Night Away!
From the Spring Formal Committee:
Your children are welcome and encouraged to invite more than one guest. They just need to be in 9th-12th grade this year and they need permission to attend. A permission form was sent home a few weeks ago, and you can get additional copies from the front office.
If you have guests that you would like to invite, please:
- share this email with them
- then stop by the office for a guest permission form
Tickets cost $15 each until May 3rd. After that, the cost will increase to $20 so buy your ticket now!
Please take advantage of the cheaper $15 ticket price this week. The cost will go up after Friday to $20.00 per ticket.
*Please note* We cannot sell tickets past Friday May 10th, because we need to get the food ordered!
If you have a hardship in paying, please contact Lindsay O'Neil as there are some sponsored tickets available for Saint Michael School students.
What to Wear
The students should wear a nice formal suit or dress. The gentlemen can even go all out for a tux if they want! Floor-length dresses for the ladies are suggested but not required and please, no spaghetti straps or at least covered spaghetti straps. Thank you!
Getting together before the dance starts
Friday, May 17th is a half day of school and we realize that families live all over Vermont, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
To make things easier (and more fun!) for everyone, some parents are willing to have kids come back to their houses to hang out for the afternoon, get ready and ride together.
Please contact Karlie Borst, Katie Pierce, or Virginia Christi to coordinate.
