"You have a right to be tired"
The last several episodes have been on revisiting Church documents about the mission and purpose of Catholic schools.
Today, they reviewed a document called The Catholic School that was released in 1977. In the document, they talk about how Catholic schools are designed to be places where students not only learn about Gospel values, but they're given an opportunity to live them as well. In the document, they define Gospel Values as the Beatitudes. Schools should be places where students get to practice and live the Beatitudes.
The host, Dr. Uhl, was talking about this to a Catholic school teacher, a sister who has taught for 30+ years, and she said "After reading this document, I'm reminded why we are all so tired when we are done teaching. It's not easy to live these Gospel values each and every day in front of our students. She said, in fact, I was reminded that I have a right to be tired."
So - there you have it - in a long winded response - we have a right to be tired.

Also- I've created my own little definition of what it means to Integrate Catholic Identity across the curriculum. Let me know what you think! It's still a draft.
