Foundation Awards $114,000 in Grant Funds!

Annually, the Wildcat Foundation awards grant funds in support of programs and projects that align with our mission: to strengthen the educational, cultural, wellness, and athletic programs of the Mechanicsburg Area School District.

Despite a challenging year, and only because of donor support--individuals and businesses alike--, and our own board's fiscal responsibility, the foundation has committed $114,293.47 in funds for the 2021/2022 academic year. Thanks to our donors, for their help in making this possible for the benefit of our schools and our students.

Foundation Elects New Board Members

At the June meeting of the Foundation Board of Directors, new members and officers were elected. Foundation by-laws provide for a 21 volunteer board members. Each member is elected to serve a three year term.

Newly elected members are Michelle Duggan (MASH, '88), Courtney Farinelli, and Julie Huff. Elected officers are: Nathan McWilliams--president of the board, Meghan Brown--vice president, Russel Daniels (MASH, '85)--treasurer, and Jonathan Boles (MASH, '03)--secretary.

Our thanks and gratitude to those members who fulfilled six+ years of dedicated service and whose terms have expired: Tracy Rohrbaugh-Besselman (MASH, '88), Dale Flor, and Benjamin Ried.

Wildcat Foundation Night--It's a Wrap!

Wildcat Foundation Night transitioned to a virtual format on May 14, 2021. While not the ideal way to present this much anticipated event, we thank those who took the leap with us, including dining partners JoJo's Pizza and Pasta, Hops and Barley's and Stock's Manor. In addition, we're grateful for the many sponsors, donors, and participants who, we hope, enjoyed a perfect evening in.

We're planning to return to a more traditional, in-person format on February 25, 2022. Visit our website for additional information.
