Coordinators Corner

Keeping It Simple and Straightforward!

Volume 1, Issue 9

Last Day at School

‘Twas the last day of school,

and all through the halls

the teachers were busy,

taking down word walls.

The students remaining

were chatting all day

about summer vacation

just minutes away.

If only they knew,

that deep down inside

the teachers were more excited

than their faces belied.

Plans had been made

for trips and relaxation,

for cruises, reunions,

and deep meditations.

Bittersweet farewells

to retiring friends and colleagues

to students graduating

and off to universities.

The final bells ring

and off go the masses

until the new year starts

and all the new classes!

PPS. Thelma says "Take time for you!"

Dear Coordinators,

DPAC:

The DAC (District Advisory Committee) made some changes to be implemented in 2016-2017. These changes were made to ensure that we expand parent input on the LCAP. The committee is now called DPAC (District Parent Advisory Committee) and new bylaws were drafted and approved by the committee.

The membership composition has changed. We will meet in July with all CIS and designated AP to review the membership requirements for Title 1 and non-Title 1 schools.

DELAC and DPAC dates will be sent out soon.

Happy Summer:

I’d like to thank you all again for all work and dedication this year. The role you each play in the success of your schools and the outcomes for students is very important. I am honored to work with you. Please take time over the break to indulge in the activities that cause you to smile, laugh, reflect and relax.

If you need to reach me, I will be around most of the break with a few scheduled long weekends.

Smiles,

Dr. Perez
