21st Century Cyber Charter School Newsletter: April 2021
Notes From Our Principals
Hello to our students and families of 21st Century Cyber Charter School,
We hope you are all enjoying this spring weather we are having - we are looking forward to a great Spring season! With March having flown by, 21st Century is now in our 4th and final quarter of the 2020-2021 school year! Time has passed quickly, indeed! Thank you all for your patience as we continue to embrace the changes that Covid-19 has brought us; we appreciate each and every one of you.
With the final quarter of the school year, we have many events happening at 21CCCS. We will be hosting our testing locations all over the state of Pennsylvania and can’t wait to come out and see our students as we test for PSSAs and the Keystones! You will be receiving more information about testing shortly. Please be on the lookout for emails and mail regarding testing details. We are doing everything possible to ensure a safe testing environment with PPE and social distancing.
Along with the end of the year, we have many fun school events coming up and will continue to hold virtual events. Please continue to keep an eye out for upcoming events by checking Moodle and the emails from your principals, academic advisors, counselors, or other staff.
Also, we would like to continue to provide reminders to keep students on track for the rest of the 2020-2021 school year. This spring weather is beautiful, let’s finish up our school work so we can enjoy it!
Make small goals - use small goals to work up to larger goals! If you feel a sense of accomplishment when finishing a task, lots of small goals will allow you to feel that even more!
Find YOUR point person - Is there someone who helps you stay focused, on track, or in the game? Find the person who gives you healthy encouragement to finish your schoolwork! It could be your academic advisor, teacher, parent/guardian, grandparent or someone else in your life!
Stay grounded - it’s easy to get swept up in everything that’s going on. In fact, it’s hard not to! But, make sure you’re getting your information from reputable, trustworthy sources.
Greetings 21CCCS students and families! The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and we are officially in the 4th Quarter. This is certainly a busy time of year as classes are coming to an end, final projects may be due, and PSSAs, Keystones, and AP tests are approaching. We want to remind everyone to stay calm, try not to get overwhelmed, and most of all - you can do this! Here are some time management and test-taking tips that you may find helpful over the next month:
Plan how you will use your time - Make a schedule (either on paper, your phone, or use your google calendar).
Set a daily goal - Reaching your goal helps to increase motivation and gives you the drive you need to persevere.
Arrive a few minutes early to testing - This will give you a moment to relax before testing begins.
Eat a healthy breakfast - Now is the time for cereal, milk, orange juice, yogurt, or whatever you like that is nutritious!
Actively listen to all instructions before the test begins.
Read all directions - Specific details are often in the directions.
Answer the questions that you know first.
Download a relaxation app.
Do a memory dump - As soon as the test begins, jot down the information you want to remember on your scrap paper that you may likely forget.
Most of all - Stay Positive!
We believe in all of you and wish you much luck with the upcoming testing and in Q4!

Community Feedback Forum
The Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment and Interim CEO, Brian Cote, will be holding a monthly 21CCCS Community Feedback Forum for both parents and students. This will be an opportunity to learn about the process of the school’s curriculum, instruction, and assessment. Parents and students are encouraged to share information on things that have been going well for our school, as well as ideas/suggestions to move our school forward. This forum will not be a question/answer session. If parents or students have questions during the forum, our staff will work to respond to those questions in our monthly Flex Gazette.
