When Should People Mask in School?
-Cases eligible for a 5-day isolation period must continue to mask in public settings from Day 6 to 10 after testing positive or developing COVID-19 symptoms, whichever is earlier. In addition:
- reasonable exceptions include removal for essential activities like eating at work, school, or child care and maintaining as much distance as possible.
- individuals should avoid activities where mask removal may be necessary. This includes participating in sports or music activities where masks cannot be safely worn during this time period.
- individuals who are exempt from masking (e.g., children under two years of age) may return to public settings without masking.
-Close contacts who are not required to isolate must wear a mask in public settings for 10 days following their last exposure to a person with COVID-19. Similar exceptions as above for cases apply.

Virtue for April: LOVE
God wants us to serve and to see goodness in everyone we meet.
A loving person…
wants the best for others
is willing to make sacrifices for the good of others
knows that we are all lovable
prays for others
REFLECTION
God has given us many people in our lives to show us examples of LOVE. Our families, teachers, and friends show us their love everyday. Love can be seen in the simplest acts of kindness, such as sharing a pencil, playing a game, or even by saying "thank you". We should always show our love for others because love is about seeing the good in people even when they make us angry. Sometimes the greatest acts of love happen when we are angry, such as not hitting our sibling back or not screaming at our friends. Jesus is always with us and we should always try to remember His most important lesson, the lesson of love, because love is not about us – it is about looking out for the good of others.
SCRIPTURE READING A reading from the Gospel of Mark (Mark 12:30-31)
God’s two greatest commandments are:
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.
You shall love your neighbour as you love yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these.
The Gospel of the Lord. Praise, to you O Lord Jesus Christ..
What does love look like to you?
REFLECTION
St. Augustine’s thoughts on LOVE. He poses the question: "What does love look like?" His answer is simple: "Love has hands to help others. It has feet to hasten to the poor and needy. It has eyes to see misery and want. It has ears to hear the sighs and sorrows of others. That’s what love looks like."
OUR DAILY PRAYER FOR APRIL
Let us now pray...for the virtue of love so that we will never be satisfied until all are satisfied. AMEN
Kindergarten Registration
Direction of School Support
By directing your tax support to the Separate (Catholic) School System:
- You may vote for Catholic School Trustees in Municipal elections
- Your children may attend Catholic elementary schools
- You show your support for the Catholic school system
To verify that you are registered as an English Separate (Catholic) school supporter:
- Check the assessment section of your Tax Bill or Property Assessment Notice
- Check your Voter Information Card received during an election year (2022)
Have you moved?
Even if you have been an English Separate (Catholic) School Supporter in the past, the designation DOES NOT follow you when you relocate. By default, your property taxes support your municipality's English public school board. Every time you move or if there is a change of ownership, it is essential that you register yourself as an English Separate (Catholic) school supporter.
To register as an English Separate (Catholic) School Supporter or change your Direction of School Support, please contact the DPCDSB Admissions Department by phone at 905-890-0708 ext. 24512 or by email at admissions@dpcdsb.org.
