PTA Day is Monday, August 21

Maercker PTA is hosting a PTA Day on Monday, August 21 from 4-7 p.m., at Holmes School! Parents are invited to pick up their school supply kits that they may have ordered earlier in the year, see spirit wear options, join the PTA and learn what is planned for the year, and visit an after-school activities fair.

Summer Construction Updates

Summer has been a busy time in our district with some projects taking place at all of our schools. Things are wrapping up and looking great and facilities will be ready for students on August 24!


Below is a summary of projects completed at each school:



Holmes Primary School

  • The parking lot was patched, sealed, and re-striped
  • Back playground area was leveled and re-sodded
  • Grease traps were replaced in the kitchen
  • One rooftop unit was replaced


Maercker Intermediate School

  • The parking lot was patched, sealed, and re-striped
  • Sidewalk repairs were completed
  • Roof repairs were completed
  • New floors have been installed in every hallway, common area, and in the main stairwell


Westview Hills Middle School

  • The parking lot was patched, sealed, and re-striped
  • Fluorescent lights were with high efficiency LEDs in main office
  • Three rooftop units were replaced

The new school year is just around the corner and lots of information is being added to the district website.


Some important dates to know:

  • Friday, August 18 - Student Schedules will be released in Skyward.
  • Tuesday, August 22 - Meet the Teacher Night from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, August 24 - First day of School!
