Harrison Happenings
February 23-27
This Week in Room 300...
Since last week was a VERY short week, we will be completing a lot of the standards that we did not get around to.
Math: We will continue learning about comparing numbers using our greater than, less than, and equal to signs.
Writing: Since last Monday was Presidents' Day, we will learn about two very important presidents: Lincoln and Washington. We will write informational writing about each of them!
Guided Reading: I am so proud of the awesome readers in this class! We are continuing to move up to reading harder books each week. Since we are done with all of our consonant and vowel sounds, we will start having a name of the day each day. We will pick out the consonants and vowels and make words using that name.
Donations needed!
Students will earn 3 bonus tickets (towards their good behavior ticket collection) if they can donate any of these items to our classroom. At this time of year, we usually begin needing more of a few items:
- glue sticks
- hand sanitizer
- wet wipes (for cleaning tables)
Students have to earn 10 tickets before they can spin the wheel for a prize. 3 bonus tickets would give them a huge help!
Reminders!
- With the end of the nine weeks in just a month, please be sure to keep practicing counting to 75 with your child and all of their sight word flashcards.
- Please be sure to send a jacket with your child everyday!
- Money for ice cream needs to be accompanied by a note
- Turn in your $11 for February snack if you have not already.
