LHISD Elementary Cell Phone Policy Reminder
While students are permitted to have a cell phone on campus, it must be turned off and stored in their backpacks during the day. Students may not have their phones out and may not text or make calls during the day. The same policy applies to SMART-watches.
During state testing, test administrators must collect students' technology and store it for the duration of the test. On those days, students will not have access to their phones or SMART-watches during testing. Parents are encouraged to keep cell phones and smart watches at home on testing dates.
Because of testing, student schedules at those and other grade levels may change to accommodate testing.

The Liberty Hill ISD Counseling Team invites Parents and Guardians of students in grades 4th-11th to join us for a viewing of Screenagers: Growing up in the Digital Age. Come learn strategies for parenting and helping your child navigate technology usage in their lives.

Dual Language Program Application for PreK and Kinder ONLY
The LHISD Dual Language Program application is now open. The application will be available from March 25-June 3, 2022. This is for families whose child(ren) do not qualify as an emergent bilingual (EB) but would like for their child to participate in the program. We held an informational meeting on March 23rd in English and March 24th in Spanish after our PK/KG Preview Night. Both DL Program meetings were recorded and will be posted on our Dual Language Program website. Although we are only recruiting PK/KG students, we are asking all campuses to please help us inform our community about this opportunity.

She has a great relationship with our students and teaches them in a fun way. She has a warm heart and is always willing to do whatever is necessary to help our kiddos become more confident. I love her playful manner with her students and with the staff. We are so lucky to have her here at Rancho!

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
The Liberty Hill Public Library is getting ready to launch an exciting new program for the little ones in our library district, which follows the same boundaries as Liberty Hill ISD. While your campus may not yet serve these children, the potential for future educational benefit is there.
1,000 Books Before Kindergarten is a program designed to promote Early Childhood Literacy. Some very generous donors have come forward to cover the initial cost and establish this in loving memory of Kimberly and Payton Schrock.
The library will host the big kick-off event on Saturday, April 16, 1:30-3:30 p.m. I have attached a flyer that tells more about the program and event. We would really appreciate it if you could share this information with your school population to help us get the word out to the LHISD community.
