Dear PV Families,

As we approach the end of the year, we have some staffing updates to share with you. For staff who are moving on to new positions or retiring, we have the opportunity to wish them the best in their next steps. For staff who are joining us, we have the opportunity to welcome them to our school family. Below you will see all of the latest updates as well as the complete listing of our classroom teachers for the 2021-22 school year.

Many of you may already know about Kathy Zubke's retirement at the end of this school year. Mrs. Zubke has been an amazing and greatly loved teacher at Pleasant View while serving our staff, students, parents, and community for over 30 years! She has spent most of her time serving students in kindergarten and most recently in 4k. She has done phenomenal work to continue to put students first in all that she does and we greatly appreciate her efforts and achievements in making Pleasant View a better place to learn. We wish her all the best in her retirement.

Upon Mrs. Zubke's retirement, we wanted to let you know that Mrs. Chris Maas will be joining the Pleasant View staff as one of our 4k teachers for the 2021-2022 school year! We are excited to see her join our team as she brings many years of experience in serving as a kindergarten teacher at Southwood Glen. Mrs. Maas is thrilled to be joining our school community! Please join me in warmly welcoming Mrs. Maas to the team in the fall. In addition, it is my pleasure to announce that Mrs. Serak will continue to serve at the 4k level as a part-time teacher for us.

Mrs. Carolyn Kloppenburg, one of our educational assistants at Pleasant View, will be retiring at the conclusion of this school year. She has served as an educational assistant at Pleasant View for the past three years and 21 years in the district. We appreciate all that Carolyn has done for students and staff during her time in the district and wish her all the best in her retirement.

At the conclusion of the year we have some other staffing changes that we would like to share. Mr. Matt Wood, who is a cross-categorical teacher, will be moving to the high school. We are thankful for his service to our students, parents, and staff over the past three years. Mrs. Kelly Schultz will be moving into a Balanced Literacy Coaching position next year, which leaves an opening in kindergarten. Mrs. Schultz has served our students and staff well over the years at both Ben Franklin and Pleasant View and will use her talents to coach across the district. As a result of the kindergarten opening, Mrs. Jaime Boehlke will be moving to kindergarten next year. As Mrs. Boehlke moves to kindergarten, Mrs. Melissa Buss will continue to serve on our 1st grade team next year. Mrs. Buss has been teaching for us this year (from Robinwood) and will continue to teach here in first grade. We recently hired Mrs. Ginnie Kamp to round out our 2nd grade team. Mrs. Kamp joins us with 9 years of experience and will be a great addition to our school team. In addition, Mrs. Tracy Kaun will be staying at Robinwood to teach 1st grade next year which leaves an opening in 3rd grade for us here. We are very thankful for her 10 years of service from Mrs. Kaun for our students, parents, and staff and we wish her the best at Robinwood. We are currently in the process of hiring a 3rd grade teacher.

Below you will see the classroom teachers at each grade level next year:
