Good Morning Laurel Families,

What a week! We've had kids at the pool, in bounce houses, on field trips and celebrating an amazing year of learning in the classroom. Thank you for all your support as we navigated this school year. Please see below for some important news you can use as we wrap it all up this week.

• FRIDAY is the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL with dismissal at 12:30 for Laurel Elementary
• Please contact the office at 541-998-2386 if transportation plans for your child will be different on Friday so we have a safe final dismissal for the year.
• Friday's pick up traffic will be busier than usual. Please be patient with students and other drivers so we can keep all our kids safe
  • Do not cross the street other than at designated cross walks
  • Do not make a U-turn mid block
  • Watch for crossing guards and pedestrians while driving
• If you have library books, they may be returned with your student or dropped off to the front desk
• Our lost and found will all be donated on Monday. It is available to come and look through daily if you are missing an item.

With Summer Break right around the corner, you might think it is too late to be thinking about summer camp and enrichment opportunities for your kiddos. It is NOT! Many of the programs referenced below are still enrolling and some have scholarship resources for families facing challenging situations.

Direction Service is a multi-program family support organization that has helped people with special needs, and their families, live their lives to the fullest since 1976. Their comprehensive directory, attached below, has resources for families including camps, diagnostic and treatment services, recreation programs and respite care and support.

Also below is a list of camps from Oregon Family Magazine. This list includes sports, science, performing arts and nature camps for all ages.

Our lost and found is overflowing with coats, jackets, and hoodies. We will have it on display in front of the school all of this week . If you are missing something, please send your child to look or come by and locate lost items throughout the day.

Kindergarten Registration Now Open - Please Help Spread the Word!

We are now enrolling kindergarten and new students for this fall. If you have a friend, neighbor or family member with a kindergarten age student or older student who will be joining us in September, please encourage them to call the school or check out the link below.
