No Teacher Left Behind Act
Teachers Like Children Are our Future
In an effort to promote consistency across the nation
All teachers should have standards on what and how to teacher our children. As of right now all teachers will attend monthly trainings on how children grow and learn in the 21st century. All teachers must stay up to date with the latest technology. In addition to technology they must also stay in tuned with the cultural differences of the children in their classrooms. Teachers will focus on the whole child.
Teacher Continued Education
teachers should continue their education. at no point will we know everything. This world is forever changing, and teachers need to stay on top of the latest technology as to provide the best instruction for our students. Language is also important in continued education. Teachers should have the opportunity to enroll in second language courses at no cost to them. A language barrier should not be reason why a child does not succeed.
Exposure
Teachers should have opportunity to see first hand what 21century education looks like. Educators have to believe in what they are doing. Allowing them to be witness to success stories will help them to navigate in the direction of change.
Implementation
Teachers should incorporate these standards in their classroom as I will statements
1. I will facilitate and Inspire learning and creativity
2. I will Design and develop digital age learning and assessments
3. I will Model Digital age work and learning
4. I will promote and model digital citizenship and responsibility
5. I will engage in professional growth and leadership
The children will see if teachers are sticking to their promises to them and seeing the standards everyday will be a constant reminder of what the goal is.
