4th Grade Chronicle
Camacho Cosmos
A Week in 4th Grade
This week in 4th grade you would have seen performers practicing scripts and acting in front of a green screen, mathematicians creating symmetrical shapes, and ecologists experimenting with growing different types of beans.
Language Arts
We introduced the Drama Unit this week. Everyone had vast background knowledge from Pirates: The Musical to contribute to our noticings of scripts. Students were given a script and practiced their parts before performing in front of our green screen!
Talking Point: Ask them how their experience was in the green screen room!
Glorious Geometry
This week in math we worked with angles, lines, and shapes. Talking point: "What shapes do we see in nature?" "What in nature is symmetrical?"
Science
This week our ecologists continued to study the world they live in. We focused on the life cycle of plants and how they use the process of photosynthesis to take in carbon dioxide and release oxygen for us to breathe. It is awesome that plants act like an air filter to clean out the pollution that people make.
