SAT School Day Administration
Wednesday, March 4, 2020
Junior Information:
Plano East will administer the School Day SAT to all 11th grade students on Wednesday, March 4 from 9 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Here are the details all 11th graders need to know:
- Students should bring at least two #2 pencils with erasers. Wooden pencils rather than mechanical pencils are recommended.
- Please bring an approved calculator to the test room. Consult www.sat.org/calculators for information regarding acceptable calculators. Students may not share calculators nor will extra calculators be available in test rooms.
- Additionally, each student must wear a PESH ID badge to enter a test room. Students will be required to turn off or silence all cell phones and any other smart devices. Apple or other smart watches are not allowed.
- Once testing is complete, at approximately 1:00 p.m., 11th grade students who took SAT School Day will have lunch and then follow a modified schedule in the afternoon. (Schedule can be found below or opened here)
- All students should check their test room assignments on the posters on the counseling center wall and in upstairs B4 on Monday, March 2.
Senior Information:
- On this day, seniors will have a late arrival to school. Any senior that arrives at normal time in the morning should report to the cafeteria. Students are not allowed to hang out in other areas of the campus.
- Seniors will begin with lunch at 11:00. Lunch will be served as usual in the cafeteria. All students are expected to sit in the cafeteria. Students are not allowed to sit in other areas of the campus due to testing.
- Lunch will end at 11:50. At this time, our seniors will have alternative activities to participate in.
- Seniors are to report to the gym at 11:50 and instructions will be given to them at that time.
- Each senior will be expected to sign in through QR code when they arrive in the gym.
- Seniors will participate in these alternative activities from 11:50 to 1:50.
- Seniors should dress comfortably this day and be ready to participate in a variety of fun games. They will also have other opportunities like watching the East spring musical. Details will be shared with our students through announcement the week of SAT testing.
- Seniors will then begin a modified schedule at 2 pm. (Schedule can be found below or opened here)
9th and 10th Grade Information:
- 9th and 10th grade students are to report to school as usual at 9 am.
- 9th and 10th grade are expected to report straight to the gym.
- 9th and 10th grade students will be expected to sign in through QR code when they arrive in the gym.
- They will participate in these alternative activities from 9:00-11:00.
- 9th and 10th graders should dress comfortably this day and be ready to participate in a variety of fun games. They will also have other opportunities like watching the East spring musical. Details will be shared with our students through announcement the week of SAT testing.
- 9th and 10th grade will have lunch from 11:00 to 11:50. All students are expected to sit in the cafeteria or IB commons area. Students are not allowed to sit in other areas of the campus due to testing.
- After lunch, students are to report to designated classrooms in B1 IB area. Students will be informed of their specific room beforehand.
- From 11:50 to 1:50 they will participate in classroom activities.
- Beginning at 2 pm, students will begin an alternative schedule. (Schedule can be found below or opened here)

LET’S HAVE A REAL CONVERSATION ABOUT VAPES AND DRUGS

Plano East Senior High would like to invite you to join us in the theatre for an informational meeting about drug trends happening in Plano ISD, specifically at Plano East and surrounding schools. This parent meeting will be an open and honest conversation featuring individuals who have first hand experience with drugs in our community.
Special guest speakers include:

Sergeant Paul Malcom, Plano Police Department/Narcotics division

2020 Graduation Ceremony Details
Students and families, we are now prepared to announce the details of the 2020 graduation ceremony for Plano East. The ceremony will take place on June 6, 2020 at 7:30. The ceremony will be held at the Ford Center at the Star in Frisco, Tx. Each student will be able to pick up 8 tickets.

- Publications Staff Applications- Being a part of the award-winning journalism staff gives students a unique opportunity to be a part of the school and community while exploring reporting, writing, design, photography, advertising, social media, videography and more. Journalism students also gain real-world experiences and cultivate lifelong traits that lead to success while working in a creative atmosphere that promotes friendships and fun while learning. There are three unique opportunities to be a part of the publications staff. Each requires an application (links below) and two teacher recommendations due no later than April 1.
