Learning Objectives This Week

Escape With the Pharaohs (a fun game incorporating all subject areas with an ancient Egypt theme)


Science

Fidget Spinner STEM Challenge

**Students CAN bring Spinners to Science all week!**


Social Studies

Create a monument for a significant historical event.

Homework

Of course there's no homework this week! :)

Summer History Camp at Bayou Bend (Where our own Mr. Tom Wilson is a docent) July 17th – 21st: Crafting America continues a 10+ year MFAH tradition of presenting a summer history camp at Bayou Bend focused on early American culture. This link https://www.mfah.org/visit/bayou-bend-collection-and-gardens/education-programs-bayou-bend/#section-summer-history-camp tells you more about it and the application form is attached there. This camp is intended for students entering or exiting the 5th grade.


KISD Summer Recreation Program provides sports related opportunities for children and adults. Registration details and additional information about each program can be found at the Community Flyer link on the main page of http://www.katyisd.org.


Tompkins High School Crimson Cavalette’s Dance Team will be offering a summer camp from June 19th – 22nd, 8:00 a.m. – noon for 4th and 5th grade students. Please visit http://crimsoncavalettes.org for full details and registration.


SLJH News: Save the dates for Crush Camp on July 31st, Back to School Dance on Aug. 4th and Spartans In Sync on Aug. 10th with a make-up date on the 11th.
