This year the Track Program is open to all students grades 5th through 8th and who have maintained all academic requirements for their classes. Practice will take place Monday through Thursday until 4:15 p.m. Please be sure to pick your child up promptly after practice.
You do not need to be a great runner to come out for the team. We all practice together, but when we compete in meets against other schools, you are divided into boys and girls for each event. Fifth and sixth graders run together and seventh and eighth graders run together. Track events include 100m, 200m, 800m, 1600 (one mile) run, relay, long jump, and shot put.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at school. Attached is a schedule for the season. Please note, the schedule is subject to change. Please sign up for my Track Remind for updates as needed. Thank you and I look forward to a great season!
