Serve United
Serve Sacramento is becoming Serve United
New Name, Same Great Purpose
We have some exciting news to share with you: in the month of September, Serve Sacramento is becoming Serve United! There are a few reasons for this change. First, Serve Sacramento is designed to raise the on-going level of service in the Greater Sacramento Region. This 6 county region includes communities as far West as Vacaville, East to Placerville, North to Yuba City and South to Galt. Some cities and communities struggle with "Serving Sacramento" since they rarely travel to the city of Sacramento itself and have concern for serving their own community/city. By changing Serve Sacramento to Serve United we are including everyone in the service strategy to impact the area they call home through collaborative service.
So why the word "United"? That's what we are all about! We value diverse people coming together to be the faithful presence of Jesus to communities by addressing pressing issues and entrenched problems with courage, perseverance and love. We value collaboration between churches and non-profits, civic entities and the business community to serve in a united expression of love. By using the word "United" in our name, it means we will strive to keep the value of unity in the things we do. Thank you for being one of many on this journey of expressing the love of Christ in the region through united service.
Let's Serve United!

Every School Partnership Update: Pastor and Principal Luncheon for FCUSD
On Tuesday, August 25, Jeff Kreiser, Executive Director of The ACTS Group , shared the vision of Every School/Every Neighbor Initiative with the Folsom Cordova Unified School District principals, administration, city representatives and Rancho Cordova and Folsom area pastors. The gathering of leaders heard testimonies of positive church/school partnerships happening in several Folsom and Rancho Cordova schools. This event, coordinated by the school district, was designed to be a way for pastors and principals to build relationships as well as inspire more partnerships between churches and schools in the Rancho Cordova and Folsom communities. Many leaders left the luncheon inspired to begin new partnerships to better serve their students and their families.
