HEY Day - Sponsored by NHS
The purpose of Hey Day is to promote a friendly atmosphere that will unite our student body! Every student will get the opportunity to wear a name tag, helping everyone feel a sense of belonging. Our student body is made up of several hundred students (760ish) and it's hard for everyone to know each other. Take advantage of the name tags and make a new friend this week!
Name tags will be given out in 1st period on Monday! We are looking forward to starting this tradition at Southside!
Monday Mission
This week's Monday Mission: People talk all day long. Some people talk a lot. Some people talk a little. Whatever you say be purposeful and caring about the words you choose this week! Speak Kindness! Tell me all about completing your mission HERE! #MissionMonday
Please Be At School!
We need your help with improving our school attendance! We need you at school everyday, on time, and please do not check out unless it is absolutely necessary! Everyday Counts!
If you are absent, please turn excuses into Mrs. Rich in the front office.
Did you know that the Alabama State Department of Education defines chronic absenteeism as any student that misses 18 days of school, regardless of whether the absence was coded unexcused or excused.
Our school attendance is an important part of our school report card, but more importantly, WE WANT YOU HERE AT SCHOOL WITH US!
Attendance Really Does Matters!
Students - Please remember to check your Schoology class group! Important information can be found in these groups. If you don't know what this is, ask a teacher! They will help you find your class group in Schoology.
