Also, it is very important that you provide a reason for your child's absence. This is for safety reasons so we can track any potential outbreaks.
Lunch Orders
WE HAVE SEVERAL REMINDERS REGARDING LUNCH ORDERS:
- Students still need to pay for milk if they're not buying a lunch. The cost is 50 cents.
- Lunch is not available for students if orders are not placed in advance. All orders need to be placed by 9am that day. Every effort will be made to provide a lunch if an order is not placed but students will not be guaranteed a lunch choice.
- Correct Student ID Numbers need to be used when placing lunch orders to ensure students get the right lunch. Student ID Numbers can be found by logging onto your MiStar Account.
1/8/2021 NPS COVID-19 Update / Symptom Screener
January 2021 UPDATED SYMPTOM SCREENING TOOL AND REMINDER
It is critical that children are still screened at home EACH MORNING before coming to school. This process is what helps keep our students and staff safe in school and a primary contributor to allowing us to continue in-person learning for students.
The Wayne County Health Department has updated the COVID-19 Daily Symptom Screening Tool STUDENT (1.8.2021) to reflect the reflect the importance of not sending a child to school with a fever over 100.3 F with or without other symptoms and the CDC recommendation of a 10 day quarantine period for those without symptoms that are identified as close contacts to a positive COVID-19 case. It is important to continue to closely monitor your child for symptoms using this updated screener tool prior to sending your child to school. This continued effort by all parents will allow us to maintain a safe environment for all students and staff and support our ability to provide continued in-person learning for all students.
With Much Appreciation!
Read Shirts
March is Reading Month is right around the corner! Winchester is once again offering families the opportunity to purchase clothing that promotes reading. These “Read” shirts have been quite popular the last couple of years. This year we are using a different apparel line that is very soft and comfortable. If you are interested in ordering anything, please see the link below. There are youth and adult sizes of short-sleeve and long-sleeve t-shirts, as well as crewneck sweatshirts and hoodies! Please note that this is not a fundraiser; we simply want to promote reading. Orders are due by February 1st.
It’s Time to Start Thinking About Kindergarten Registration for Fall 2021
Northville Public School families, now is the time to start preparing for kindergarten registration for the 2021-2022 school year. To begin the enrollment process visit the Northville Schools Enrollment webpage (northvilleschools.org/enroll) to schedule a virtual appointment with a member of the Office of Student Data. Our PTA Board meets regularly during the school year and holds meetings on Wednesdays every other month. Several board members are fulfilling the second year of their term, so it’s a great chance for new parents to join. We encourage everyone to consider participating; it’s a supportive, fun and flexible group, and we are grateful to those who choose to volunteer their time!
