A lot of people didn't like the idea of this because it gives the government the power to invade your privacy without you knowing.

Criticism used

Historical criticism was used in the Patriot Act because it was created in 2001, 14 years ago

Criticized by Americans because many did not like the Patriot Act because instead of just investigating terrorists, the government could investigate anyone living in the United States

Personal Opinion

I am for the Patriot Act because the government has been able to stop many potential terrorist attacks and terrorists in general because of this act. It gives them the power to investigate them and track where they are. Overall it has done more help to America than harm
