Superintendent's Message
Levy equalization is an adjustment made by the state to level the playing field across the state and reduce the greater tax burden on property owners within school districts that have a lower average assessed valuation than the statewide average. We only receive these funds if the voters approve the levy.
Watch this video to learn more about how levy funds are used to support student educational programs. Additional information is available on our website.
DISTRICT NEWS
Yelm School District and Yelm Middle School earned the 2019 College Bound Gold Star Award for the 2nd year in a row! This program covers tuition, fees, and a small book allowance for income eligible students. YMS achieved a 91% student sign up rate for 8th grade, which was an increase of 16% from the previous year. These extraordinary efforts were the result of the focused leadership and determination of counselor, Melvin Fields, and the entire YMS staff.

BEAUTY & THE BEAST
A bit of "adventure in the great wide somewhere!" The Broadway version of the Disney classic - with a little bit of YHS Drama Club quirkiness. The students can't wait to share this with the community. A special performance will be hosted for all 5th graders as a matinee on February 21.
Performances are February 20, 21, 22, 28, 20 at 7pm. Matinee will be February 29 at 2pm. Tickets are $12 general admission; $10 for seniors 65+ or YHS students with ASB. Tickets will be available at the door; cash or credit card accepted.
Did you know our community has supported students pursuing post-high school education through a local chapter of Dollars for Scholars for almost 25 years?
Our community raises thousands of dollars each year and awards all qualified seniors who apply in June. We are so thankful hundreds of volunteers have taken time to donate items and participated in the fundraisers to support the goals of our students. Join in the fun!
