This newsletter is intended to connect our parents, staff and community to Blue Hills Regional Technical School District with a focus on student achievements in academics and Career Technical Education (CTE) including extracurricular activities and sports. Blue Hills Regional Technical School District is a great place to grow and learn.

New Business Manager--Michelle Resendes

Please give a warm welcome to our new Business Manager, Michelle Resendes. Michelle has been in the education world since 2007 and has found her passion behind the scenes by helping to maximize educational resources to ensure that all students have the tools they need to learn and be successful.

Michelle was born and raised in Hudson, Massachusetts where she currently lives with her husband Paul and their three daughters Alyvia, Lillyana and Leiah. Michelle holds a Bachelor's degree from Becker College in Business Administration and Management with a concentration in finance. She also holds a certificate in Human Resource Management. In her free time Michelle enjoys cooking, watching her daughters dance, playing sports and doing yoga.

Student Opportunity Act Planning Survey

Each district is required to submit a spending plan for the additional funding the district will receive for the FY21-FY23. The purpose of this survey is to gain stakeholder feedback regarding the Student Opportunity Act spending plan.

Mass Hearthbeat

Coming soon we will be bringing ECG screenings to our students, which takes less than 5 minutes and can detect a fatal heart issue you may not know exists. This is a simple life saving test. Stay tuned for more important information from Principal Zini.

Let's Fill the Stands on 2/15 as Hockey Fights Cancer

The Hockey Fights Cancer game is at the Canton Ice House at 3:55 PM on Saturday, 2/15 vs. Bellingham. The is a great event that benefits the Reo Todesca Foundation. Paul Todesca, Jr. will speak to the student athletes about his mother's battle with cancer as well as his family's choice to honor Reo by starting this event and the importance of choosing to make a difference in our community.

Arrow Sports Group has donated jerseys and socks for all members of our varsity and JV teams as well as 150 t-shirts with the BHR logo on it for all fans that attend the game. To learn more about the event check out the Boston 25 video.
