A Note from Dr. Miles
Good morning Parents and Guardians!
Let us deck the halls with bells of holly...it is our last week together until 2024! Starting the week with Holiday spirit week (see schedule below) ought to make all of our spirits bright for sure! I definitely want to take the time to wish everyone a safe and blessed holiday. May you all share special moments and make the best of the time with family and friends! We will see you again in January!
Nurse Rhonda needs your HELP! She is in need of small and medium pants as well as boys underwear. If you are looking to get rid of clothing that is too small for your childrening please send them to nurse Rhonda. She will make good use of them. Also, if your child has frequent accidents, please pack extra clothing in their bookbags. We are grateful for what you provide and we thank you in advance!
CHROMEBOOK COMPUTERS: With the winter months soon upon us, I want to make sure that all students have access to the Chromebooks to take home in case of a snow day or Flexible Instructional Day (FID). Teachers will have their Canvas pages updated with zoom links to continue school day during inclement weather days.
***If your child has STILL not been able to bring their computers home due funding for the insurance of $40, you can still see if you qualify for a waiver by click on the WAIVER link and type all requested information and click submit. If it shows a $0.00 balance, then you qualify for the waiver. If not, click the link above to pay the TIF fee. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact the office.
Kind regards,
Dr. Miles
Winter Concerts Bring the Holiday Spirit to CASD
On Tuesday, December 12th, the elementary schools band and orchestra joined together to perform several holiday tunes that filled the room with happiness and joy. All music, string, and band teachers in the district had the opportunity exhibit their skills as conductors. Then on Wednesday, December 13th, parents, guardians, grandparents, and siblings arrived to King's Highway by the hundreds to observe the wonderful winter chorus concert of our 4th and 5th graders. Their impressive performance wooed the crowd and everyone left with uplifted hearts and joyful spirits. A special thanks to Mrs. Poyer and Mr. Brackin for their hard work and successful evenings.
Music teachers wait in anticipation.
Band students play with laser focus on their notes.
Our string students pluck with pizazz and poise.
