Group Buys this week!
If you are new, group buys are special orders we do once every few months or once a year ( bulk sea salt). We buy in bulk or a large order to get discounted pricing. These items usually take a couple of weeks to arrive so they will not be available at pick up on Wednesday. I'll email when they arrive.
Easy way to find all the group buy items in 1 place is in the Menu click Co-op Vendor Stores, then click Living Well Farmers Market and visit store. Or you can click this link https://www.livingwellga.com/store/living-well-farmers-market/ They are also in each individual subcategory as well.
Below are details about each group buy:
NEW! Georgia Olive Farms Olive Oil
GEORGIA WILD CAUGHT SHRIMP - GROUP BUY THIS WEEKEND!
This weekend we'll be taking orders for Wild Caught Shrimp from Poteet Seafood Company in Brunswick, GA. This is a group buy and it may not be at pick up on Wednesday.
Wild Georgia Shrimp species can only be found in the wild. These species have never been successfully pond-raised; therefore never come in contact with chemicals, antibiotics, pesticides and residues often used in commercial shrimp ponds. Wild Georgia Shrimp grow and reproduce in nature's sounds, estuaries and the adjoining Atlantic Oceans, not in man-made ponds.
Close to the Source-Not Imported
Wild Georgia Shrimp are processed only in the State of Georgia and distributed quickly after processing, they don't sit in a warehouse or on a ship for extended periods of time. Wild Georgia Shrimp not only bring you the flavor of the ocean, but are excellent sources of tryptophan, selenium, and protein. They contain low levels of fat and calories and have no carbohydrates or trans fatty acids. Shrimp provide beneficial levels of vitamins B3, B6, B12, vitamins D and Omega- 3 fatty acids. Shrimp are a good source of several minerals including iron, phosphorus zinc and copper. Some people avoid eating shrimp because of its high level of cholesterol; however several studies document no ill effects from shrimp consumption while actually increasing HDL (good cholesterol) levels in the blood.
GROUP BUY: GRASS FED CHEESE!
This weekend we will be taking orders for grass-fed cheese from Coulter Farms Cheese!
The Coulter family produces Grassfed Cheeses, from their own Certified Organic, 100% Grassfed Jersey Milk right on their farm in Honey Grove, Pennsylvania. This is truly "raw milk" cheese, never heated above 102 degrees. Low Temp Pasteurized and Raw Milk Cheeses will be available. I will place our order on Sunday evening but don't expect it to arrive until the following Wednesday. This is a pre-paid, pre-order and payment is expected by THIS Wednesday.
If it is raw milk cheese it is aged 60 days according to FDA regulation. All other cheeses are low temp pasteurized. Raw milk cheese that is listed on the market is safe for human consumption and is aged at least 60 days per FDA regulation.
Prices and available sizes will be on the market website tomorrow for ordering. The pricing will include shipping and taxes/fees.
- Cows Raised without synthetic hormones
- Cows are grass-fed and raised on pasture
- Old World, Handmade Cheese making Techniques
- Cheeses made with non-homogenized low temp pasteurized or raw milk and aged at least 60 days to comply with the USDA regulations for raw milk cheese production
- Cheeses that are not considered raw are pasteurized at the lowest legal temperature for 15 seconds
See Coulter Farms' website for more detailed information about their process:

Benefits of Grass-Fed Cheese
- One of the few foods that contain a perfect balance of omega-3 and omega-6 fats, a ratio ideal for your health

- Considerably higher in beta-carotene, vitamin A, vitamin D, and vitamin E than cheese and other dairy from grain-fed sources
- High in the healthy calcium and protein your body needs
- Free from growth hormones and antibiotics

FAQ: Check Out Issue: Register or Renew Subscription screen
Question: I'm trying to check out on the Living Well site and am getting an error. I recently paid my renewal and I didn't have trouble ordering on the new site last week so I'm thinking there maybe a glitch. I've got 5 items in my cart and when I try to check out I get a screen with the following: Register or Renew Subscription
Answer: The fix is to clear your cookies and cache from your browser. There's a lengthy techie explanation but the short is we updated your membership in the database. Your browser doesn't recognize the membership change since the last cookie had different information. If you delete your cookies and cache it will not get hung up and allow you to check out.
You can search how to clear cookies and cache in your specific browser. Thank you for your support!

Create Your Shopping List (formerly called Wish List)
Do you typically order the same items every week? Well, we've got a great time saver for you! One of the features I love is the SHOPPING LIST!
You can create a Shopping List even if the market is not open. All you have to do is click "Add to Shopping List" at the bottom the product listing. This will add items to your list. Then, when the market opens up you can click to add the products to your cart and checkout quickly.
Try the Shopping List feature and let me know what you think!
New Ordering Website a SUCCESS!
It was a great first week on the new market website! If you haven't already checked our new website the new address is www.livingwellga.com
If you are currently a member with a paid membership or just recently expired you should have received an email from Living Well Farmers Market with your new username and password. Just use those login credentials and you are good to go on ordering. If you did not receive an email, please go to the new website and register. Choose the 14 day free trial and start ordering.
We hope you love the new website and the enhanced customer experience.
BIG CHANGE- Since I no longer have to physically turn off the market you now have until midnight Sunday to order! I can't tell you how happy I am that the market turns on and off without me doing anything. I love automation! Check out the countdown clock on the homepage - it makes me happy!
You can also send questions (Inquiry) feature directly to the vendors and order from your favorites on Co-op Vendor Stores on menu. You can give reviews on the products and so much more. I'm still working on getting our social media straighten out...I will go into detail on new features you can try every week. Right now I just want you all to get used to logging and ordering on the new website :-)
Pick up is still at Cultured Traditions on Wednesdays but we're getting closer to opening the new store location!

UNREFINED SEA SALT DETAILS
ANCIENT OCEAN® Himalayan Pink Salt
Harvested from ancient sea salt deposits that lie deep beneath the Himalayas, our Ancient Ocean® Himalayan Pink Salt by SaltWorks® is one of the best mineral salts available. Protected from the ages by the breathtaking mountains in Pakistan, the crystalized sea salt that was once a prehistoric ocean is now a pure, mineral-rich salt that has garnered more than a cult following. Treasured for its clean, upfront salt taste and its extraordinary color, all-natural Himalayan Pink Salt has become an important ingredient in kitchens worldwide. The varying shades of delicate pink to dark rose are the lasting result of trace minerals such as iron, magnesium, potassium and calcium.
Grey Sea Salt Description
The French perfected the art of high quality, hand-harvested sea salt by using centuries old Celtic methods. It’s no coincidence they produce the finest grey sea salt in the world. Sel Gris is known for its beautiful grey color, coming from the clay lining the salt ponds, as well as its high moisture content and extraordinary mineral content, with bonus nutrients not found in most sea salts. Over 15% of the material in sel gris de Guérande are trace minerals—possibly the highest of any salt anywhere. 100 grams of sel gris contains about 100 minerals, including 34g of sodium, 287mg calcium, 109mg potassium, 34mg magnesium, 11mg iron, 1mg manganese, and 0.35mg zinc, plus a host of trace minerals like from antimony, copper, germanium, and gold to iodine, to palladium, yttrium, and zirconium.
Sel Gris Tamisé is a medium-sized crystal that is carefully sifted from the brut grains and is comparable to the size of Fleur de Sel. Great for baking and cooking, or to add a delicate crunch to your favorite dish.
Sel Gris Fine is the very same high quality grey salt as the coarser varieties, but is stone ground for easy dispensing from a salt shaker. No additives of any kind are mixed with the salt. The naturally delicious flavor of grey salt and its lower sodium content make this a perfect replacement for ordinary table salt.
Gift Idea- Pour unrefined sea salt into a decorative glass jar, add beautiful ribbon and it’s the perfect gift for anyone who enjoys cooking! You can even add a card with the description above. Makes a perfect Hostess gift too!
