The student of the week is Ashton Barbosa nominated by Mrs. Daniels.


Ashton is hard working, full of humor, and a great peer to his classmates. He is willing to volunteer to do many things for his classroom. He maintains a super positive attitude and is a great influence for his peers – Latrice Daniels

Go-O Student of the Week

The student of the week is Sidney Huntsman nominated by Stacy Gage

“Sidney always shows readiness to learn and is prepared for her assignments. She takes responsibility in completing projects to the fullest extent.” --Ms. Gage

P-Z Student of the Week

The student of the week is Ava Reynolds nominated by Stacy Gage.

"Ava is always prepared for science and puts in the extra effort on her projects and tests. She is responsible with asking for assignments if she was absent and always cooperative and respectful to other students in class."

What to expect this week.

  • Front doors will open at 7:15am. First bell rings at 8:15am. when students arrive on campus, they will go to the Gym, until they are released to class.
  • Students who arrive after the 8:15am bell, will receive a Tardy. Unless they have arrived to school on a late bus.
  • Monday - January 17th - Student and Teacher Holiday

Federal Report Cards

Leaman Junior High School is sharing the below information about the district and your child’s campus with you as part of its obligations under the federal Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015 (ESSA).

Federal Report Cards for the state, the district, and each of the district’s campuses are now available on the district’s website at this link: or are also available on the Texas Education Agency’s website at: A detailed description of these reports is enclosed.

If you have difficulty accessing the information from the website, hard copies of the reports can be requested from the district or campus office. If you have questions about the information, please contact Leaman Junior High School at 832-223-5200 or the Lamar CISD Research, Assessment, & Accountability Office at 832-223-0138.

2022 Washington DC & Colonial Virginian trip

Attention 8th grade students registered for the spring break Washington DC and Colonial Virginia trip: We are leaving on our trip in 45 days! It is time to get excited!

Be sure to be on the lookout for important messages about the trip from Coach Walters. There will be a Pre-Trip meeting for parents and students about three weeks before we leave.

•Each week the results will be gathered. They will then be shared with staff members during Tuesday department meetings or Wednesday staff meetings.
