The Great Barrier Reef for example is one beautiful reef that needs to be protected. The Great Barrier Reef is known for its largest living structures on this planet, also known for being rich and diverse and which makes it unique. What also makes it very unique is that it extends over 14 degrees latitude from shallow estuarine areas to the deep ocean waves.


There are many ecosystems, 14 actually. That're important to the function of the coral reefs, lagoon floor, islands, ocean water etc. .The function can have a big impact on the long-term health and resilience of the Great Barrier Reef. For which makes it unique in a way.

Human Activities

You can dive, swim, snorkel, sail the seas even do helicopter tours of the reefs!

Human benefits on keeping the reefs safe and healthy: The Australian Government heeded the call for the establishment of a large, world-class, highly protected marine park in the Coral Sea that will provide a safe haven for marine life and recognize its historic significance.
