Library Blog Now on Facebook
“Off the Shelf” has moved on to Facebook. Our Library Blog used to be on our PCBC website page; now it’s a Note on our PCBCDallasLibrary Facebook page. We update our Library blog every few weeks and would love for you to be a regular reader. We blog about events and updates here in the Library, and sometimes we just write our blog to express our opinion or observations. Go take a look and leave a comment.
Do It All On Your Phone!

So far, we have given more than 300 Bibles to SoupMobile! That’s about 3 percent of their goal of collecting 10,000 Bibles – to give one to every homeless person in Dallas. SoupMobile Church is the “home” church for the homeless in Dallas, Texas. SoupMobile Church is non-denominational but 100% Jesus based. See more at their website: http://www.soupmobile.org.
Keep searching around your house. Ask your friends and neighbors. Swing by your mom’s house and take her extra Bibles. If you’re at a garage sale, snag any Bibles you see. Bet you can get them for free if you’re persuasive!
Bring new or gently used, any version, any language to the PCBC Library. You can also drop them off in the bins marked for “Children’s Books.” If you would like to donate money to the cause, we can work with SoupMobile to purchase Bibles.

Summer Reading Club Extended
We are extending the dates for the Summer Reading Club in the PCBC Library to August 2.
A bunch of readers have completed their goals:
Congratulations to: Addison Dalby, Ty Fitzgerald, Joseph Lansch, Joshua Lansch, Jefferson Lee, Henry Louis, Margaret Louis, Isabella Moore, Larsen Gray Rushing, Annabelle Strohbehn, Hayes Strobehn, and Alec Thomas.
Don’t forget that there are some way cool prizes for kids that read the first 11 AND the second 11, too. Just keep track of them on the yellow or green form we gave you, or if you lost it, any old piece of paper will do.
We REALLY hope everyone will finish. It’s important for kids to keep up their summer reading, and we think there’s nothing more delightful than spending some time with a good story. So encourage your reader(s) to up their game and score big with reading this summer!
