Propaganda was all over the place during WW1. A lot of people used posters to get their point across to the people at home. The reason this worked so well is because it was very appealing to your emotions. This poster is Uncle Sam telling you to enlist into the army. Its telling the men that havent enlsited yet to wake up and take their part in defending their country.

This poster is persuading mostly women back home to conserve their food and don't waste it. People thought of rationalizing and conserving food as their way of doing their part in the war.

Technique-Plain Folks

Victory bonds helped the government raise money for the war. They borrowed money from people and then at a certain period of time the owner of the bond could cash that money in for even more money then they bought it for. This poster appeals to your emotions by telliing you to by a victory bond to do your part in the war!

Technique- Bandwagon

This poster is trying to persuade you to give up your habit of alcohol and spend that money on our soldiers. Instead of buying all the alcohol, use that money on supplying food and whatever else is needed for soldiers.
