Note from the Principal:
Dear Gator Families-
It is hard to believe we have already reached the end of the 2020-21 school year!
This year has brought its challenges, but one thing is for sure, we are grateful for your ongoing support. We could not do what we do here at GES without you, our wonderful PTO, and the amazing staff who go above and beyond.
Thank you for sharing your amazing children with us!
We have about a week to continue learning, to celebrate student learning and enjoy our classroom time together. We have so much to be thankful for this school year.
As we wrap up another school year, please be on the lookout for emails from your child’s teacher sharing suggested summer ideas. And most importantly, enjoy the time to play and be with friends and family.
Have a safe and wonderful summer. We will see you in August!

We look forward to working with your child the weeks of July 19th and July 26th from 9:00-11:00 AM. Just a reminder that parents provide the transportation to and from Geist Elementary for the Summer Jump program all 10 days.
Next Week's Lunch Menu
Monday: Breaded chicken sandwich, pizza crunchers or mozzarella sticks
Tuesday: Assorted pizza and tots/fries
Wednesday: Boneless wings with biscuit, spicy chicken sandwich and corn
Congratulations 4th Grade!
On Wednesday, the GES staff and students will clap out the fourth grade class, this will look differently than in past years as we will not be hosting visitors to the school. We want to ensure the safety for all students, staff, and families. As we know at dismissal we have bus traffic, car rider traffic in the parking lot, and a need to account for individual students during the dismissal process, in addition to the COVID guidance and procedures in place this school year.
Please help us in maintaining the safety of our dismissal procedures by requesting dismissal changes using School Dismissal Manager by 1:45 each afternoon.
If you need assistance with SDM including retrieving your password please click here or visit www. schooldismissalmanager.com.
Your Child's Medication in the GES Clinic
If your child has medication in the school clinic arrangements must be made for the transport of this medication home, as student medications cannot be stored at school over summer break. According to Indiana Code, a school may send home medication with a student if a parent provides written permission for the student to receive the medication.
Please download a copy of the permission form below to send medication home with the student. Return the completed form to the school nurse as soon as possible.
