Dallas ISD Core Beliefs

Our main purpose is to improve student academic achievement.

Effective instruction makes the most difference in student academic achievement.

There is no excuse for poor quality instruction.

At risk students will achieve at the same rate as non-at-risk students.

Staff members must have a commitment to children and a commitment to the pursuit of excellence.

Nathan Adams Vision & Mission

Our vision is to create an exceptional learning environment that produces remarkable students who are prepared to be successful and equipped to compete in a global society.

Our mission is to prepare all students to achieve the highest standard of intellectual, physical, and social growth.

Message from Principal Renaud

Welcome to Week 20 Nathan Adams Community. Hoping everyone enjoyed the long weekend with family and friends. This is a very important weekend with MKL Day. This day is tightly aligned with our Word of the Week- RESPECT. We will use this word multiple times throughout the year for Word of the Week to help our students build a strong foundation of character and kindness. If we are to live in a civil society, all of us must understand the delicate balance between the rights of an individual and those of a group. Students in particular must respect others’ right to learn. This mind set also includes respect for themselves, the learning environment, parents, and teachers. With this strong foundation nothing but success will follow!

I also wanted to share how proud I am of our gains in the climate survey and the ACP data. Nathan Adams made TWO of the districtwide TOP 10 LISTS including biggest gains in Beliefs & Priorities and Positive Culture. It truly took a team. The teachers put in so much time and effort preparing their lessons and tutoring the students. What a talented staff we have. I am truly the luckiest principal in Dallas ISD! Please join us at the PTSA meeting Jan 19th @ 6:00 pm for more information.
