September 2021 Hawk Talk

September Message

Hello Maple Hill Hawk Families! It has been an incredible start to the school year. It is lovely to see our students on campus daily. As I walk through the building, I can hear laughter, singing, and students interacting with one another. Our playgrounds are filled with energetic students eager to interact with peers and enjoy the fresh air. Everyone is adjusting well to coming back to campus, and our hearts are full.

One of the reasons our campus is thriving is the fantastic staff we have here at Maple Hill. I am blessed every day to work with the most dedicated and loving people I have ever met. This year we are blessed to have new staff members join our team. These new staff members are quickly learning what it means to be a part of our "Maple Hill family." They are eager and knowledgeable, and the students love them. Please take a moment to click on the buttons below to meet each of them.

Please take a moment to read through this Hawk Talk carefully because it is full of important information that will help you and your student know what is happening in September on our campus.

  • Free online resources can be accessed from home with an LA County library card. Log on to Brainfuse for homework help with live tutors, Learning Express for test preparation assistance, and so many more databases and research tools through the LA County Library website.
  • With OverDrive and Hoopla, students can check out and download free eBooks and audiobooks, which are automatically returned after 3 weeks so there are no late fees.

All LA County Library locations follow LA County Department of Public Health COVID-19 protocols. Please check with your local LA County Library location for current guidelines prior to your visit.
