Tustumena Elementary Newsletter
February 5, 2014
Short newsletter for a short week.
Greetings Tustumena Families,
There are just a few things to remind you of this week. First, Thursday and Friday this week are Parent/Teacher conference days so the students do not come to school. We will have a full week next week, including Valentine's Day on February 14th. If you want to get an early "date night," in, we have our Mighty Meatball dinner and auction this Friday, February 7th, at 5:30. There will be lots of good food and great items for the auction. This fundraiser supports the sixth grade field trip in the spring.
Our school will be sponsoring the district-wide Forensics Match on March 1st. We are looking for volunteers to help with judging and parking so if you have some time that morning, we could certainly use your help. Just contact me at: email@example.com and I will sign you up.
We were going to hold a Cross-Country ski race on March 1st as well, but it is not likely to happen now that the snow is looking "uncertain." We may still have a "Fun Ski" event on that day, but we will have to wait on the weather.
Our #1 volunteer celebrated her 29th birthday with us. Thank you for all you do Miss Betty.
Working as a team
4th graders are trying to analyze the "mystery powder."
4-6th graders compete to see who can be the quietest during lunch. The winners get 10 minutes of game time in the gym every day.
