Interested in learning more about IB?
If you would like to participate in a book study to get acquainted to IB MYP and also receive CEU credits, we will start two different book studies in January. These books will be read independently, assigned by chapter. Shanna Meehan will provide the books for your use and invite you to respond to discussion questions connected to chapter readings. Both books include information on IB MYP implementation. Register by December 19.
Student Expo - February 6th!!!!
Preparing for Inclement Weather
For all Cabarrus County Schools weather questions, ALWAYS refer to the CCS webpage. This is the official location for closing information for our schools. Facebook is not always the most accurate, and tv and radio are on longer as reliable, as well, in a timely fashion. Texts from colleagues are also not an excuse. The website my always be your source of information if the phone call hasn't arrived yet. With inclement weather, rule number one is always TRAVEL WHEN SAFE. Work from home days will be determined by the superintendent if needed. A link to staff information will be posted on the front page of the CCS website (with HR and finance details). Saturdays will be avoided as makeup days. Finally, almost every inclement weather day is unique. Decisions will always be made as quickly as possible.
Student IDs
Please remember that students should have their ID cards whenever they come to the Media Center, either with class or independently. We are still trying to ensure we are using the ID cards in a purposeful manner, so if you have any continued feedback, please let your SLT representative know.
