Books for You

Ali Wood was a former teacher and Librarian here at Discovery. As part of Ali’s legacy, she wanted to create a way to get books in the hands of kids. This project is starting with our fall book fair. A foundation has donated $5000 in Ali’s honor to ensure that each kid gets books. All kids will walk out of the book fair with a book in their hands and from Ali there will be a sticker inside to honor Ali’s wishes.

If your family would like to donate to the fund in addition to or in lieu of receiving a book, please contact Katie Davis daviskp@mukilteo.wednet.edu.

Here is the link to donate. Any coins or $ donations coming into the fair can also go into this fund.

It will be called the Sunshine Fund when kids check out at the book fair.
