Weather- what we know so far

Eli- I learned that strong wind forces ocean water onto land. (Tsunami)

Logan- I learned that the National Hurricane Center you can watch as the tropical disturbance becomes a tropical depression. (Hurricanes)

Huston- Lightning comes from a certain cloud named the Thunderhead. (Lightning)

Mirabella- I learned that clouds can turn white by the reflection of the sun. (Clouds)

Sophia- I learned that wind can help animals and plants. (Wind)

Emmaline- I learned that a snowflake has 6 parts. (Snow)

Jetson- I learned that tsunamis can cause floods. (Flood)

Laila- I learned that in 1990 all around the world there has been 445 tornadoes that have hit the world. (Tornado)

Spring Break Weather

I will be sending home a calendar. If your family is staying in Fishers, or traveling, your student can still be a Meteorologist and track the wind speed and temperature!


This week we will be wrapping up our research (or the plan is to wrap it up).

Moby Max:

Moby Max is a website that is used for MANY different reasons. The reason that we as educators like it is for Math. I like how it gives the students math at their level. It also self motivates by allowing game time when tasks are completed. Everyone is set up but not everyone has been on yet!

Behavior Plan

Please review our behavior plan: Students will color in a word after completing tasks. The goal is to color all the way to the !. Please look to see if they have had any reminders during the day or notes and sign in the notes box. It will be in their GO folder each night!

I also added an in class reading log. I am making students accountable for their independent reading time. :)

At the end of the week, if they have made it to the ! each day, they get a coupon AND a trip to the treasure box! If they make it to the word DAY each day, they get a coupon!
