A little bit about me

Big image
My name is Shelby Grinwis and I have been a Spirit resident for almost 9 years. I am a graduate from Michigan State University with a major in Art Education and a minor in Art History. I began my teaching career as an Elementary Art Teacher in Central Florida, where I taught for 3 years. A move took me to Celebration, Fl where I taught Elementary and Middle School art. After meeting the man of my dreams, I moved to NY where most of my days were spent touring museums and enjoying the culture of a big city. After my short stint in NY, Minnesota bound I came. Once in Minnesota I taught Pre-school for 2 years before working at St. Joseph School in Rosemount, where I taught K-8th grade art. Now, as a mother of two, I have been fortunate enough to be able to stay home with my children and watch them as they grow. Although, I am no longer in a classroom setting, my passion for the arts is still something that I enjoy sharing.
