staar next week!
Next week, students at Lago Vista High School will be taking the STAAR English End of Course Exams. As you are most likely aware, students have to pass these tests to be eligible for graduation from high school.
Tuesday, April 9 - English 1 EOC test
Thursday, April 11 - English 2 EOC test
Testing students should report to the big gym when the bell rings at 8:05 am. Testing will begin promptly at 8:10 am. No students will be released from testing before 12:20 pm and students have up to 5 hours to finish the test.
If your student is absent on their testing day, please contact Stu_Taylor@lagovista.txed.net to arrange a make-up session. All make-ups must be done by Friday, April 12.
If your student is testing, please encourage them to get plenty of sleep and a good breakfast in the morning.
Our students have worked hard and we wish them the best on their tests! Thank you for your support!

Annual Parent Survey Link!
In Lago Vista ISD, we strive to continuously improve the learning conditions and environment for our students. Candid feedback from our parents provides us with crucial information to help us realize this mission. Below is the link to our annual parent survey. The links are campus specific, so if you have students on multiple campuses, you will get multiple emails.
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/P69P3SD
The survey will take approximately 12 minutes to complete. Your feedback is completely confidential. Comment boxes are provided for detailed feedback and you can be assured that they are thoughtfully read and considered.
This survey will close on April 8th.
Thank you in advance for your participation!

Attendance Matters.
Our schoolwide attendance goal for this year is 97%. Our state funding is based on the percentage of students at school at 10:30 am every day. Higher attendance rate = more money for resources for your student.
For students who miss school, here is some very important attendance information:
3 or more unexcused absences in a 4 week period - warning letter sent home and phone call from the principal.
10 or more unexcused absences in a 6 month period - truancy charges are filed. Parent, student and school administrator will be summoned to appear in truancy court.
Our campus goal is to reach 97% attendance each day.
Thanks for your support!
