If you are returning a laptop and charger, please have the laptop fully charged. We will need to turn it on to ensure that it is working. If there are any damages to the device, please let someone know upon dropping off.
Place both the bag of books and your laptop/charger in your car trunk on the day of drop off. You will enter Boyd Elementary through the carpool lane in the same format as when you picked up the laptop and materials in March.
Before you leave your house, please click this link to prepare a form for drop off and attach to the passenger side of your vehicle. You can also write the information on a piece of paper if you do not have a printer.
After you have dropped off your materials, you will continue in the car line to pick-up any materials your child may still have left in the school (art projects that were left at school, yearbook if purchased, or miscellaneous items.). Our 6th grade students will also receive their 6th grade certificate and 2026 graduation bell.
For the safety of our staff we ask that you wear a face covering or mask. You will also need to have the information with your child's name, grade, and teacher visible (passenger side of your vehicle) for us to bring you any materials.

Message from Behavior Specialist
As we continue to navigate our way through our new partnership in education at home, new challenges may arise. I worked closely with many of the Boyd kids to help them problem solve, make behavior changes or simply to chat and check in. To say I miss the Boyd kids is an understatement, we all do. I know they are also missing their teachers and staff members they interacted with on a daily basis.
If you come to a point that you might need a hand with challenges at home, or if your child would like to chat with me, please reach out through email. If your child would like to video conference, or talk on the phone, I need a a parent to be present. We are all in this together, and together we will get through it!

School Closed Through the End of the School Year
Allen ISD schools will remain closed through the end of the school year in an effort to support the community, region and nation’s need to slow the spread of COVID-19. Though our schools are closed, learning is still very much in session. Our teachers and staff will continue to work throughout the end of the school year to provide our students with enriched learning opportunities.
This action follows Governor Greg Abbott's announcement on April 17 that Texas schools will remain closed for the rest of the school year.
Updates from the Superintendent will be sent through School Messenger and provided on the Web.
