The Bear Necessities
Summer Update Edition
Happy Summer
I'd like to first thank you for the warm welcome that I've received. I appreciate all of your emails, visits, and offers to help. I would love it if you'd come by to meet me before our official first day together. I am in the district consistently, but not consistently in one spot. if you'd like to set up a time, please email me, or call Barb or Michelle in the BC main office so we can find a time that works. I promise that I won't force you to share your Top 10 list with me. It'll just be nice to connect a face with a name, and get to know you a little.
I am looking forward to the kickoff to our year, and want it to be the best it can be. I know that there are so many things that are flowing smoothly, and I have heard such positive things about all of you. I don't want to wish summer away, but it all makes me more anxious to get our year started! Being new to the school, I really want to know anything you want to share - about you, school or otherwise.
I realize this is not your typical format for a newsletter. I thought I'd try it. Let me know what you think. We are working on a website that will hold all of the important information and documents that you'll need for the year. Sometimes it can be difficult to know where to look for that document you saw before you needed it. I'm hopeful that we can create something that will be a go-to resource for you. We will share more in September, but I'd like to thank Haritha for her help, already.
I have seen enough of you around, to know that you are already deep in though about next year. What impressive dedication! I hope you'll take time to relax and refresh. You have an awesome job, but it requires a little time to reset!
Looking forward to seeing you soon.
Sincerely,
Jaime

Building Availability - A Note from Helen
Dear BC/Deans Staff,
I hope this email finds you well and enjoying your much deserved time off.
The Deans building is done. Any Deans staff that would like to setup your rooms may do so, just call/text me and let me know when you will be there. Also, if you do come to Deans please throw out any food and drink into the dumpster and keep your rooms as neat as possible as my custodial staff will not have time to clean your rooms every day.
The Brooks Crossing building is still a work in progress. I wanted to update you all to the progress of the construction and give you an estimated date to get you into your room. The units have been installed in the classrooms and we are just waiting for valves and facia to be installed. The air conditioning should be getting turned on by Aug 15th. The custodial staff and I have been working to get the rooms wiped and floors done. It has been a slower process due to the heat. We are hoping to have the classrooms done by the week of the 26th. If you need to get in to access your room please call or text me at 848-459-2555.
Both buildings will be open from 8am-6pm.
Miss you all,
Helen
