KYLIE EISERLOH
Kylie is an awesome 9th grader who goes above and beyond both in academics and sports. She comes to class each day with a smile, a positive attitude, and a willingness to work with others. We are proud to call her a Bedford Bronco!
McCRAE COBERN
McCrae is an excellent student who has a genuine enthusiasm for learning. He can be relied on to complete assignments well, to work cooperatively with classmates, and, perhaps most importantly, he is willing to stand up for what he believes to be right. He frequently contributes thoughtful and insightful ideas to classroom discussions. He is a model of what it means to be a Bedford Bronco.
CHLOE ALLEN
Great girl that always has a smile on her face and kind words to say! She always works hard not only for herself, but in helping other students. She has been a top 5 student in English class meaning she has one of the top 5 averages in her class period.

ASHLYN CAVE
Ashlyn is an ideal student. She is always kind to others, and eager to do her best on every assignment and task put before her. Her gentle spirit radiates and is a positive influence on those around her. It is a privilege to have students like her in class.
QUINN MACLEOD
This student is a leader both in and out of the classroom. He models respect and manners around campus. He takes pride in getting good grades, and he works hard to achieve them. He comes to tutoring weekly, always asks questions, and requests feedback so that he can continue to grow. I should also mention, he’s a snazzy dresser.
GEOGRAPHY BEE WINNER!
Congratulations to 8th grader Abrahem Sawan. Abrahem won the BJH Geography Bee on Tuesday. Abrahem will go on compete at the state level of the National Geographic Geography Bee and will represent BJH at the district completion in February. Congratulations to all those who participated. You all demonstrated that Bedford is Best!

CHOIRS OF BEDFORD JUNIOR HIGH
The Choirs of Bedford JH performed their Winter Concert last night at the LD Bell auditorium. Under the direction of Mrs. Ware all choirs performed holiday songs to a packed house. The choirs sounded amazing and the soloist put the exclamation point on an amazing job. Today the varsity choir tours our elementary feeder school and performs for future Broncos.

BAND STUDENTS COMPLETE SCALE BUSTER PROJECT!
Each year during the 2nd Six Weeks, the Symphonic Band students are challenged to complete the SCALE BUSTER project. This year, 12 students completed the arduous task of playing 9 major scales and their chromatic by memory with ZERO mistakes! This is a tough challenge and these students will be rewarded during our annual trip to the Cheesecake Factory in the spring.
BAND STUDENTS EARN A SEAT IN THE HEB HONOR BAND!
Over 300 students from the five junior highs in HEB ISD auditioned to earn a seat in the HEB Honor Band. Students from Bedford Junior High earned 26 seats in the HEB Honor Band. These students represent the top one-third of students in the district! The HEB Honor Band will give a concert on Friday, January 25th at 7:00pm at Trinity High School.

BAND STUDENTS EARN A SET IN THE REGION 31 - 9TH GRADE ALL-REGION BAND!
The All-Region band is comprised of students from six area school districts, these Bedford Junior High students represent the best 9th graders in our region of Texas! The All-Region bands will give a concert on Saturday, January 19th at Haltom High School.

The All-Region band is comprised of students from six area school districts; these students competed against students in grades 9-12 and come out on top! These Bedford Junior High students represent the best in our region of Texas! The All-Region bands will give a concert on Saturday, January 19th at Haltom High School.
BAND STUDENT ADVANCES TO AREA COMPETITION!
Kaila Dietel will represent Bedford Junior High at the Area Band Competition in January, competing to earn a spot in the prestigious All-State Band. This is high honor for Kaila as she is the only 9th Grade student in HEB ISD to earn a spot in this competition in the previous five years. This is the result of many hours of practice and dedication to the Bassoon! Way to go Kaila!
BRONCO FAMILY AND COMMUNITY NIGHT
We had a great turnout last Friday for our Bronco Family Night. The Powder Puff game was a great contest, the band, choir and step team performances were enjoyable , the silent auction was a success, and the movie night capped off a great evening. Thank you to everyone who came out to support our Broncos.
BJH STAFF GETS IN THE HOLIDAY SPIRIT
At our last faculty meeting the teachers and staff had a little fun with our annual ornament exchange game. Everyone circled up and had to pass an ornament each time the song said jingle! It was a lot of fun and only one ornament was injured in the process.

All yearbooks are $50 until Spring Break. Please send cash or checks made out to BJH to room C109 Mrs. Keneda’s room. Please note that all ninth grade baby ads are due Friday, December 14, 2018. This deadline is firm to ensure we have space for all the pictures. This book is proving to be an amazing one, so please do not wait to purchase!

Please consider helping out your kids school by volunteering a little of your time. Bedford Junior High offers multiple opportunities that currently need some assistance. Morning Crosswalk Duty, Workroom Responsibilities, and as always Concession Sales on Fridays and game days. We would love to see you involved in your kids school and this is a great way to start.

ATHLETIC RESULTS
9TH GRADE BOYS BASKETBALL
Tuesday night the Freshmen boys defeated Lewisville 46-43.
The offense was led by Brayden Pasley who had 21 points. The Broncos played great team defense with Dyllan Calhoun, Jake White and Jaylen Watkins creating multiple turnovers from the Farmers. The rebounding effort was led by Walker Wolfe and Thomas Haak.
8TH GRADE BOYS BASKETBALL
The 8th grade boys played Richland Middle School Thursday night.
The A team lost 38-31.
The team got down early 15-2 after the first quarter, but outscored their opponent the rest of the way to make it close at the end. Trey Wilson lead the team in scoring and rebounds, Jay Hecht scored 8 off the bench and played good defense, and Tanner Taylor overcame a rough start to have 7 in the second half. We look for our first win next week at North Ridge Middle School.
The B team won big by a score of 30-4.
Zach Hall had 10 points, Colby Paiboon had 6, and Jackson Boswell and Evan Pomrenke both had 4 each. Great job, but there’s still a lot of room for improvement!
7TH GRADE BOYS BASKETBALL
The 7th grade A and B boys basketball teams combined to beat Richland by a total score of 122-27 on Monday night in front of a great home crowd in their first home games of the year.
The Bronco A team had a commanding victory last night defeating Richland by a score of 61-24.
The offense was led by Jacoby Duncan with 15 points, Luke Mirelas with 11, and Kolbe Fielder with 7. The Broncos shared the ball well which allowed every player on the A team roster to score. The Bronco defense was led by Luke Mirelas and Kolbe Fielder who closed down the passing lanes with 6 steals each. Elijah Zamora added 4. Jacoby Duncan had 3 blocks and Reese Dietel added 2 to shut Richland down inside the paint. Great win A team! Keep working hard.
The Bronco B team won in dominating fashion Monday night beating Richland 61-3.
The B team offense was led by Roman Lambert with 9, Dylan Roach with 8, and Kenny Mull and Carson Walker who each added 7. The Bronco defense was led by Rhett Garrison and Carson Walker who had 4 steals each; and Nicholas Kumpel and Travis Johnson who each had a block. Excellent job B team! Both A and B teams will look to build off of their 2-0 starts as they take on North Ridge at home next week.
9TH GRADE GIRLS BASKETBALL
The Freshmen girls basketball team dropped a tough game Tuesday night against Central, with a final score of 48-34.
Our offense was consistent and aggressive, with 9 points coming from the free throw line.
8TH GRADE GIRLS BASKETBALL
The 8th grade Lady Broncos played Richland Middle School at home Thursday night.
The A team won with a score of 48-14. The A team caused many turnovers with the 1-2-2 press led by Macey Mercer, Kennedy Wright Mallory Still, Julia Loya, and Raegan Warren. The girls ran the fast break well and Makayagh Morgan and Carlii Sumler crashed the offensive boards. Macey Mercer led the team with 22 points, followed by Kennedy Wright with 18.
The B team won with a score of 20-10. The B-Team put on the defensive pressure, led by Daniella Peterson, Sophie Campbell, and Maddie Winslow. Maddox Vickers and Tallulah Keonig both had 8 points.
7TH GRADE GIRLS BASKETBALL
Monday night the 7th grade A team followed a strong performance by the B team with one of their own, downing Richland Middle School 48-4.
The ladies started off strong, scoring 22 in the opening quarter. Nearly everyone on the team scored, and each player played an important role defensively. Moving to 2-0 on the season, the Lady Broncos will look to extend their win streak next Monday as they take on North Ridge at North Ridge. Good game ladies!
Congratulations to the 7th grade Team 2 basketball team for defeating Richland Middle Monday 40-3.
Leading scorers were Alexis Minotis and Enyce Williams each with 6pts. Lainey Parker, Madison Hollander, Angel Dickey and Quinn Raymond with 4pts each. Glaze, Preskenis, Debellis, Vogt, Deweese, and White each added 2pts in another dominating victory. Way to go Lady Broncos basketball!
CROSS COUNTRY
On Tuesday, Bedford Junior High hosted the second Cross Country meet of the year. All of our Broncos ran hard and improved their times from the previous meet.
The 7th grade Boys A team won 1st place overall for the second consecutive week.
Landyn Brown took the blue ribbon with a blistering time of 10:26.
Top ten finishers include Cameron Conrad, Lucas Case, and Kolbe Fielder.
7th grade B team braved the cold and took 3rd place overall.
The 8th grade A team took 3rd place
Jack Baker and Ashton Biggs finished in the top 10.
Great Job to all of our Bedford Cross Country teams.
