2020-21 Plano ISD Return Plan
Back-to-School Information
Annual Student Registration and Schedule Release
Beginning July 21st, parents and guardians may log into the PISD Parent Portal at https://parentview.pisd.edu to complete the required forms necessary to obtain your student's schedule.
The tentative date for schedule release to students via Parent Portal is Monday, August 10th. Students will be able to view and print their schedules online through Parent Portal at that time. If the above student registration has not been completed, or if there are any holds such as Chromebook/textbook fines, library fees, missing paperwork and/or immunization records, you will need to resolve them so that you are able to view your schedule. If you have an address or immunization hold, you may visit https://myforms.pisd.edu/Forms/RegAttachSecondary to upload the required documents. Outstanding fees may be paid via Parent Portal or by contacting the campus. Please allow up to 2 business days for holds to clear from your account.
Note that if you are still in possession of a Chromebook from the 2019-20 school year, that device must be returned to clear your hold. Devices will be reissued to students for the 2020-21 school year during Jasper Readiness Days on August 10th and 11th. Families may drop off overdue textbooks, library books, and/or Chromebooks/cords via the drop off table just inside the main doors in the vestibule. One door is marked as open for deliveries Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 pm. Please be sure that any item you leave on the table is clearly marked with the student's name and ID number.
By setting up and updating your Parent Portal account you will gain access to your student's grades, attendance, assessment information, and Jasper eNews. If you need technology assistance, please contact the help desk at 469-752-8767 or at parent.portal@pisd.edu (email must include student name, student ID, and campus).

UPDATED - Jasper High School Readiness Days for Chromebook, Textbook, and School Supply Pick-up
Each student at Jasper High School is issued a Chromebook for educational purposes as directed by their teachers. Students are responsible for the device issued to them and should not allow it to be used by other students. Due to the 1:1 nature of our Chromebook program, whether students will be engaging in Face-to-Face learning or School@Home, ALL students must pick-up their assigned Chromebook at Jasper as indicated below. Students who opt for Face-to-Face learning will carry this device back and forth when learning commences on campus on September 9th.
Chromebooks and textbooks, as well as school supplies, recommended reading, and spirit wear that were pre-purchased through PTSA may be picked up curbside on Monday, August 10th, and Tuesday, August 11th. Mark your calendars and look for more information coming soon!
Course Request Changes
The Counseling office is now accepting course request changes through Friday, August 7th. If a student wants to make a change in his/her course requests, follow one of the procedures below.
- Print the Jasper High School Course Change Request Form from the Jasper High School Counseling page.
- Fill out the form, include a student signature and parent /guardian signature.
- E-mail the form to your counselor.
OR
- Include the following information on a piece of paper: Student name, student ID #, course to drop, course to add, date, student signature, parent/guardian signature. Scan or take a clear picture of the paper and e-mail to your counselor.

Free and Reduced Meal Applications
Free and reduced meal applications are now available at www.schoolcafe.com/pisd. If you have never filled out a meal application, just click on “Create a New Account.” Student eligibility status from the 2019-2020 school year will roll over only for the first 30 operating days of school or until a new application has been processed. It is important that households complete an application for the 2020-2021 school year as soon as possible. Households should allow 10 business days for application processing.
Summer Grab-and-Go Meals Extended
Summer grab-and-go meals have been extended until August 11. School year grab-and-go meal information can be found here.
Family & Social Services Back-to-School Fairs
Our Plano ISD Back-to-School Feeder Fairs are scheduled as follows:
West Feeder Schools at Renner Middle School
Tuesday, August 4 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
These free community events provide Plano ISD students and their families with back-to-school resources and essentials necessary to be equipped for a successful school year such as: school supplies, district/community support information, as well as physical and mental health assistance programs.
Mobile Drive-Thru "Contactless" Distribution (while supplies last)
- Families will receive:
- Backpacks filled with schools supplies for each student present and/or with proof of enrollment (while supplies last)
- Vendor bag full of coupons, vouchers and information from community agencies and District departments
- Immunizations and vision tests will also be available (limited availability while adhering to all safety guidelines).

Health Services Welcome Letter
Jasper PTSA Update
There have been some revisions to the Jasper PTSA President’s Letter. The highlights are included below. Please see www.jasperptsa.org for the updated letter.
PISD Registration starts on July 21, 2020. Jasper will send out information when your child’s schedule will be available.
Walkabout and Camp Jag have been cancelled this year. Distribution of items purchased through Jasper PTSA is currently scheduled during Jasper Readiness Days on August 10 and 11.
All school supply packs, agendas, recommended reading, and spirit wear must be purchased online at www.jasperptsa.org. There are limited quantities available for all items. All purchases are final, as we are unable to provide refunds for items this year.
- All school supply packs and agendas purchased by August 1 can be picked up at Jasper on August 10 or August 11. You can always check to see if you have already purchased school supplies by selecting the previous orders link in the upper right corner.
- Recommended reading is now available for purchase online. Any recommended reading purchases made by August 15 will be available for pick up the first week in September.
- Spirit wear purchases made online now will be available for pick up at a later date.
