Welcome Freshman Parents!

GEAR UP @ Southridge - September 5, 2014

Welcome to Southridge!

Washington State University GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs) welcomes you and your student to Southridge High School. Home of the Suns!

GEAR UP is a federally-funded grant program that provides support and guidance to students so they will succeed in high school and have the opportunity to go to college. We provide students and parents with services such as tutoring, academic support, career exploration, summer programs, college campus visits, parent outreach, college readiness, post-secondary information, and in-classroom technology: including laptops and calculators.

Here at Southridge, we serve the Freshman class (2018) and stay with them throughout their time here at Southridge. GEAR UP’s focus for Freshman is helping them with their transition into high school and keeping them on track for high school graduation.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. We are here to help you help your student Succeed!

Again, welcome to Southridge High School!
