LES Veterans Day Celebration: Wednesday, November 13th

All active members of the military are encouraged to wear their uniforms and all students wear Red, White, and Blue!!!
Please join us as LES celebrates Veterans Day on Wednesday, November 13.
Our celebration includes the following:
« Breakfast with a Hero hosted by PTA, 8:00-8:55 a.m.: Students are invited to bring a local hero(s), such as parents or grandparents, for breakfast in our MPR. Breakfast includes eggs, sausage, pastries and beverages. Please RSVP by Friday, November 8th, CLICK HERE
« Scholastic Book Fair: PTA is hosting the Scholastic Book Fair in the MPR and doors open at 8:00. Come enjoy breakfast and shop for some books!
« Flag Salute Special Ceremony, 9:00 a.m. Each grade level is preparing something special to honor this special day, please come join us. During this time, we will be inviting all active duty and veterans of our military branches to briefly introduce yourself along with your children, we thank you for your service!
« We are still collecting pictures of our military families for a special bulletin board displayed in our office building, please send in a picture with your student(s) names and grades, military family member name, and military branch by Tuesday, November 12th.

Character Traits:
- Gratitude: a kind and thankful attitude that makes someone pleasant to be with; readiness to show appreciation and to return kindness.
- Kindess: Being kind is when you are polite to people and treat people well (Doing to others what you would want them to do to you).
We are thankful for your attendance efforts!
Your child’s attendance is important. We want to ensure that each student is receiving all the instructional minutes offered each day. Please make sure your child is present and on time each day!
If your child is ill or has a doctor’s appointment, please bring in a note from the doctor, so that we may mark the absence accordingly. Please call the attendance line at 951.294.6386 when your child must be out ill.

11/14/19- Gratitude and Giving Back
We are grateful for all of our volunteers and welcome you on our campus, your support to our students and classrooms is vital!
In order to volunteer for any school function (classroom volunteers, parties, field trips) you must complete:
Code of Conduct Form
Megan’s Law Form
TB Test/ TB Risk Assessment Form
Volunteer forms you will need to complete, print, and submit:
TB Test/TB Risk Assessment must be submitted to the LES office staff
TB is valid for 4 years
If you submitted a TB test last year, please check with office staff to make sure it is still valid.
All paperwork must be valid and current prior to volunteering
Every volunteer will need to sign into the Raptor check-in system each time they volunteer.
Upon volunteering the first time this year, please present valid identification to the office staff and sign into RAPTOR (even if you have an account from last year).
Volunteers will be able to use the self-serve kiosk after the first visit.

You will need to sign in at the front office and wear a visitor's sticker while on campus. As a gentle reminder, parents and siblings are not permitted to play at lunch on the blacktop or equipment during school hours.
