CBA - Monday
Continue our discussion of the Wetlands to prepare for the field trip on March 4th. Students should review the vocabulary words each night to become familiar with prior to the field trip.
Investigate that most producers need sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide to make their own food, while consumers are dependent on other organisms for food.
Reading this Week:
-Summarizing literary text (book with characters)
-Theme of literary text
-Identifying text features and their purpose (timelines, captions, heading, etc.)
Writing this Week
Expository Writing Compositions
Writing Process (Planning, Rough Draft, Editing and Revising, and Final Draft)
CUPS (Capitalization, Usage, Punctuation, and Spelling)
ARMS (Add, Remove, Move, Saved)
SAVED (Similes and Synonyms, Adjectives and Adverbs, Vivid Verbs, Elaboration and Examples, Description and Details)
Social Studies this Week
This week in Social Studies we will be learning about Texas becoming a state.
Next Week is Dr. Seuss Week!!!!
Monday, February 29th- Green Eggs and Ham, wear something green
Tuesday, March 1st- Fox in Socks, wear silly socks
Wednesday, March 2nd- I'm Not Getting Up Today, wear pajamas
Thursday, March 3rd- Oh, the Places You'll Go! Wear a college shirt
Friday, March 4th- We will be on our field trip and everyone needs to wear their Wetland shirt.
Important Field Trip Reminders
* Arrive at the school by 7:00
*Don't forget if your child has rainboots we encourage them to wear them.
* Students may bring extra snacks
* Pick up your child at the school by 4:30
Make sure you bring your recorders for music on your day. :-)
