Instructional Technology PD

Spring 2015

We have some great instructional technology sessions lined up for second semester. You can find them on the district's PD Website and Calendar and can register for them on the district's ERO registration site.

All sessions are held in the Oak Lab in the Technology Building at the District Office.

Students as Creators - Digital Stories

Student Video Projects are a great way to assess student understanding of content, and meet many of the Common Core standards. Students will practice communication, collaboration, writing, researching, organization, and presentations skills in one project. Access to cameras and video editing software always made it a big challenge to assign video projects. With student's smart phones, and our districts subscription to WeVideo, video projects will be so much easier!

WeVideo allows students to use their mobile devices to film scenes or take photos, which are then easily uploaded to WeVideo, accessible on any device with an internet connection, where they can edit and publish their finished videos.

In this WeVideo strand, you will gain access to our district WeVideo account to use with your students, learn how to create and edit videos, set up projects for your class, and have time to plan a project and collaborate with other participants.

You must commit to attending all three sessions.
