Home and School Executive Board Elections- LAST CALL FOR CANDIDATES!
We need volunteers to fill 4 of these positions BEFORE THE END OF FEBRUARY! Voting will take place at the March 12 Home and School meeting.
The open positions for the 2018-2020 term are:
- President
- VP Fundraising
- Co-Treasurer
- Secretary
Thank you to Sara Landis (VP Fundraising), Karen Planinshek (Co-Treasurer) , Amy Burch (Co-Treasurer), and Gina Rothenberger (Secretary) for all of their great work in fulfilling the 2016-2018 board positions!
The remaining two positions will be filled for a 1-year term in order to stagger elections and maintain consistency of the board from term-to-term. These positions are:

- Co-Treasurer: Meg Dick (stepping in from President)

Please considering running for a position so that we can keep all of our programs and events running smoothly!
PSSA Encouragement Cards - Grades 3,4,5
Yearbook - Help Needed ASAP
The Yearbook Committee needs photos in order to fill all of the pages for the yearbook! The deadline to submit photos is MARCH 1ST! (except Lip Sync and 5th Grade Philly trip)
Classes (from socials or other in-school events):
- Homeroom Social Photographers- please upload any pictures that you have from the Fall, Winter, and Valentine's Day Socials!
All-school events:
- Bingo Night (0)
- Prime Time (only have 2nd grade)
Help is also needed with putting together page layouts, especially for Kindergarten, 1st and 4th Grade.
To submit photos online:

• Browse to select the photo(s) you wish to upload.
• Enter information about the photo and provide contact information in case the staff needs additional information.

DVD Literacy
The DVD Literacy committee will begin taping our 2nd grade students the week of February 26th.
The committee needs volunteers to help record the students during the school day. No experience necessary! If you are interested in volunteering, please email Amy Thompson at amybeth_g@yahoo.com.
If you have not yet signed a permission form for your child (it only needs to be done once), a copy will be sent home in your child's communicator or you can find it online here (see also permission letter).

**Race for Education (Spring 2018)
Help is needed for various jobs to run the Race for Education. Please contact Jenn and Kevin Lister at VFhomeschool@soudertonsd.org if you are able to help with either planning or on the day of the Race. Thanks!
**Yearbook (Spring 2018 and future)
The Yearbook Committee is looking for help with the Spring 2018 Yearbook as well as someone to begin learning how to put together the yearbook when the current staff 'graduates'. The students love receiving a yearbook, and it is a great way to preserve memories from year to year. If you are interested, please contact Sandra Esposito at sandra_esposito05@yahoo.com.
**Pod Parents (Summer 2018)
Our Pod Parent committee needs a new chair for the 2018-2019 school year. Pod parents are volunteers that help teachers with many 'start up' tasks during the first week of school, which include copying, cutting, labeling, sorting, etc. The main role of the chair of this committee is create a Sign-up genius to send to interested parents. **DVD Literacy Co-Chair (Fall 2018)
The DVD Literacy Committee is also looking for a new co-chair for next year to help with more of the paperwork and organization part of this committee. If you are interested and able to help, please contact Amy Thompson amy_g@yahoo.com or Meg Dick meg213@gmail.com.

**IVEF February Fundraiser
The Indian Valley Education Foundation (IVEF) is holding a fundraiser through One Village Coffee. A portion of every purchase will benefit IVEF and the Souderton Area School District. Money raised will fund programs like SASD Next, 1:1 Computing, STEAM Initiatives, Innovation Grants and more! Place your order online by February 28th to support classroom initiatives in SASD!

**Jazz Fest (Mar 2)
Jazz Fest is a fun night featuring middle school jazz bands from the Pennridge, Colonial, and Souderton Area school districts. There will be food concessions available to audience members during the festival and all proceeds go towards supporting the Indian Crest Jazz Band.
