Welcome Back to School!
I'm so glad to be back to school! I am looking forward to seeing you again and helping you with instruction for your English Language Learners this year. I'll send an Update from the Wayne Township Language Assistance Program every Friday. Please call me at (317) 332-7940 or email jody.horning@wayne.k12.in.us if I can be of assistance with supporting your English Learners.

What To Do for Students at Level Five
Did you have English Learners who had overall WIDA ACCESS scores at Level 5.0 or higher? These students are considered fully proficient in English and will no longer receive English Learner services. They will not have accommodations or an Individual Learning Plan, but they will enter a formal two-year monitoring period. You will review their progress regularly (and can offer language assistance if needed.) I will email a template you can use to notify parents at the beginning of the school year. I'll send more information on this topic later, as well as the monitoring forms for the students.
