Treats for Troops
Thank you to everyone involved in Treats for Troops, especially Mrs. Dempsey for coordinating this wonderful campaign!!
23 care packages were sent to our troops overseas before the holidays. They included candy and cards created by students, and staff of the high school contributed towards the postage. Below are a couple of the thank yous that Mrs. Dempsey has received;
Egg Harbor Township High School,
I received all the packages you kindly sent and would like to express my gratitude for the effort made by all of you. The holidays can be hard for all of us here serving, but gesture like this helps lift our spirits and reminds us why we are here doing this. I took the time to read all the cards sent to me and it lifted my spirits as well as the group I traveled here with. Everyone here loved the candy which put a sweet touch to our holidays. To give a personal touch of gratitude back, I would love to set up a day when I return home for me and maybe a few of my shipmates to come say thank you in person. Looking forward to meeting everyone.
Sincerely,
Profit, PaulGood morning,
I received the package full of candy and just wanted to say thank you very much. Myself as well as the individuals that are in my unit greatly appreciate the gesture. The Snickers, Milky Ways and Skittles are going quickly. I wish all of you a very happy and safe holiday, and enjoy the time with your families.
Sincerely
Keith Kreidler
