Come to The Egg Drop Challenge

An I.D.E.A.S. Hour Presentation

See What Happens Tomorrow!

The Evergreen Academy I.D.E.A.S. Hour is provided for 4th and 5th Grade students to enhance Innovation Development in Engineering, Arts, and Science in their education. Tuesday's challenge is to build a container that will reduce the impact of the force of gravity on an egg using knowledge of Physics: Energy, Motion, and Force. Their structures will be tested by dropping the egg approximately 10 feet onto the Sport Court.

The Egg Drop Challenge Test

The Sport Court

Teachers: Younger students will be able to see and experience what their future at Evergreen has to offer. Encourage your students to predict which eggs will survive and which eggs will be destroyed while exhibiting good sportsmanship and encouragement to their fellow students.

Each student will explain what they used to create their protective structure. The student and the audience will make their predictions. Then, it's time for the test! Drop The EGG! Sixteen IDEAS student presentations will take approximately 20-30 minutes.
