Cougar "Prints"
Week of September 18
Welcome Back!
I am glad to see you all back happy and relaxed following the extended weekend as a result of Florence. From the looks of it, Cabarrus was spared the worst of it, while many of our surrounding communities got much worse. As we continue to support those around us, let's just take a moment to appreciate the present, hug those around us a little tighter, and be thankful for what we have.
It is moments like this that provide a clearer picture of what life is all about - family, friends, and good health. If you are aware of anyone, in particular, that could use support as a result of Florence, please let us know.

Classroom and Safety Audit Walk-Throughs - this section falls off this week...
As we complete each one, the form is designed to send you an email directly after we submit our response. The district walk-through form email will come from Erica Willard, but they are our submissions - it was the only way they could set it up to then give you the immediate feedback from the form.
I sent the district walk-through form early last week for you to reference.
The safety audit form is an internal document that we are using to further promote our safe schools initiative. This form was sent to you in a previous email a couple of weeks ago.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
STAFF SHOUT-OUTS!
Shout-out to Heather Berger and Latoya Wells-Ziegler! A friend of yours wanted to thank you for your continuous support in helping her plan ELA lessons. She said that you two have been absolutely "awesome" in helping her make the transition to a new grade level along with her grade level peers.
